Weekly training sessionOur weekly training session takes place at Albert Park on the floodlit 3rd generation astro-turf pitches on Great Clowes Street, Broughton (Salford). Training always involves a friendly, competitive 'kick-about' and starts with a warm up, stretch and some fitness circuits before getting a game underway. Flat soled trainers are suitable however moulded soled trainers or moulded boots are recommended, especially if the weather is wet. Shin guards are not compulsory. Changing facilities are also available before and after training.

Journey time is approx 15 mins. Latest bus to catch is 7.25pm from bus station. Players SubsciptionsVillage FC is an amateur 'not for profit' football club and therefore relies on players to contribute a small amount to help pay towards various expenses like training facilities & essential equipment. Player subscriptions can be paid in two ways: 'Pay as you play' OR by standing order directly from your bank account once a month. This is the most popular option!...no need to remember to bring cash each week and we can spend more time training and less time collecting money before each session. If you enjoy being part of the club and regularly attend training and/or matches then Standing Order is the easiest (and cheapest!) way to pay. So how much do I pay?....your first training session is FREE and we can explain how it works after the session. As a guide, the 'pay as you play' amount is 5 pounds per session (3 pounds if you are a student of unemployed) but if you opt to pay by standing order each month it works out even cheaper! |
