Graham celebrates his birthday in Bed!

Club Captain Jez Ure presents Graham with a gift
17 November 2005

Defiant against the signs of ageing, VMFC Club Chairman Graham Liver celebrated reaching the BIG '3-ZERO' in style.

The event was a predictably glamorous soiree along Sackville Street, Manchester in Tribeca's basement club 'Bed' on Saturday 29th October.

The occasion was attended by members of Graham's family, past and present work colleagues and close friends which included a large contingent of current players and supporters from the football club.

Club Captain Jez Ure presented Graham with a gift from the club and rolled back the years with a speech and timely reminder of his early VMFC exploits - considering the guest's in attendance, he must be congratulated for managing to keep it clean!

A big thank you must also go to Rachel, who organised the party, gathered cute pics of Graham's days in washable nappies and a nostalgic look back at Graham's boy scout antics when he got his first taste for camping in the great outdoors. Cheers Rachel, a top night!

Events at this point start to become a bit blurred (in a haze of party poppers kindly donated by John Bridges) and it's probably better the remainder of the nights activities are kept off the record, however, rumours are rife in the Village of one particular 30 year olds attempt to woo the boys in Essential by doing an impression of a 'caged' Go-Go dancer??? Perhaps evidence of this outstanding podium performance might surface sometime in the near future……Congratulations Graham from everyone connected with the club!
