Steve 'my body's a temple' Clayton, our 42 year old left back from…Liverpool! Clayton is fast approaching a decade of service to the club (Testimonial?!) having joined in 2001. He works in finance, however Steve may be making an elementary numerical mistake as he appears to be getting his 2's and 8's mixed up - he says his waist size is a 32!

A Liverpool supporter, Kenny Dalglish is Steve's favourite all time player; "Just the best player I have ever seen". Describing himself as 'fun', 'reliable' and 'bald', Mr Clayton loves going to the theatre and eating out when he's not working or playing football. He even goes the gym! He can often be found with a diet coke in his hand ('my body is a temple!' he keeps reminding us!), and our very own Andrea Dossena/Danny Devito lookalike is a highly likeable member of the squad. He even says his future ambition is to keep playing for the Village longer than Jez!

The club members are what Steve likes the most about VMFC, and how well he gets on with them all. He has too many moments which bring a tear to his eye when thinking about his time with the club, but Copenhagen, Munich and the league success all sit fondly in Steve's mind!
