John 'JB' Bridges has been with the club since the end of the 1996/97 season, and he resides in the wonderful area of Levenshulme. Formally a councillor for the party that always comes third/will never get into power/is usually proved right in the end, he is now an ex-councillor for the party that still came third/got into power/gave up what it believed in to do so. John was born in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire, and comes in at 5'10 with a belly size of seven months gone!

Supporting Manchester City isn't the best of things, but we here at VMFC guess it's better than being from the red half of the city...of London. He plays where he's told, and somewhat funnily says he's 'not fussed' when asked if he's a righty or a lefty. John, we don't mean which hand you prefer your boys to...never mind! Choosing Matt Damon as the guy to play him in the movies, Jeff Bridges is more the person he bears resemblance to! Bridges' favourite pin up is Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Amazing shout!) and his hobbies include 'occasional' clubbing. He also used to be the chairman of an opera company, don't you know!

John's solitary goal for the club against Hamburg in the IGLFA tournament in Cologne, 2000, is high on his list of memorable moments for the club as well as the opening ceremony for the Gay Games in Amsterdam '98. However, JB's most emotional moment with the club is bit of a tearjerker; "...driving to Miami with a stunner at the Fort Lauderdale tournament!". He enjoys being a part of the club because it 'improves my wardrobe'. God bless you John Bridges.
