- Player Profile
"Lil Pete 80" Ransom joined the club at the start of the 2009/10 season and immediately made himself busy by getting injured and putting on weight via a steady diet of vodka, crispy chicken strips and late nights in Cruz.
Standing at a mighty 5'6, the Burton-born wingback's tactical eye has seen him captain the second team in Cologne and be seconded as Antony Lockley's assistant 1st team manager for the 2009/10 manager.
Mr. Ransom would prefer his age not be published as he has just hit a very delicate milestone, and on the pitch the 30-year-old likens himself to former Liverpool midfielder Did Hamann ("you're not quite sure what I do but you miss me when I'm gone).
Pete's highlights since joining Village are the 2009/10 GFSN tournament victories in Leicester and Birmingham ("disappointing that we conceded two goals in Brum", mumbles the defensive-minded midget) but these are eclipsed by the experience of playing in Gay World Cup in Cologne in August 2010 ("one of the best weeks of my life").
He can most regularly be found in Cruz 101 dancing to Whitney, Britney and Beyonce. Badly.
