At twenty three years old, 'scouse dynamo' Jay McNaught - who also answers to Jay, Macca and Ginge - is the youngest player at the club, and a new addition at that having joined just after the start of the 2008/2009 season. Coming in at a lofty 5'9, and a decent 11 and half stone, Jay hails from the centre of the earth, otherwise known as Liverpool!

Jay currently lives in Hulme, Manchester and is a Trainee Teacher at Manchester Met University, having graduated with a Sports Science degree from Leeds University. A typical student, he's always skint! Mainly playing in central midfield, Jay somewhat laughably describes his playing style as something akin to Frank Lampard! Being a Liverpool fan, his favourite player is Xabi Alonso - "Class on the ball, and his passing ability is immense". He's a secret Doctor Who fan - no sonic screwdriver innuendos, please! - And claims Daniel Craig would be the ideal man to portray him in a film of his life!

Despite being new to VMFC, Jay already enjoys being a part of the club and quotes making his debut and also breaking his scoring duck - albeit a fairly lengthy eight games in! - as some of his favourite moments thus far. On VMFC as a whole; "Joining the club has let me to play Sunday league football every week, and train each week too with a great bunch of lads. It keeps me fit too! But at the end of the day I've made some new friends and my social life has benefitted as well!"
