October 2016 review

It was a mad busy month with the first team playing five games in three competitions, the seconds having three games in three competitions plus a tournament and the Village Elders veterans having their first full game. We also appeared on TV and had an amazing Halloween.
VMFC supports Football v Homophobia at MCFC

Football v Homophobia is an international initiative opposing homophobia in football at all levels - from grassroots to the professional game. During February events happened at clubs throughout the UK and VMFC took part in events at Manchester City.
Tournament Time

Village Manchester have two teams that are involved in both local and national leagues but the club is also eager to take part in as many tournaments as possible to get pitch time for its players. In the upcoming months the club has confirmed that it is competing in a number of tournaments up and down the country.
VMFC at Manchester Pride

Manchester Pride is always busy and 2015 was no different. We had our annual photoshoot at the Etihad Stadium, Polly's It's a Gay Knockout at New York New York, a Pride Cup mini tournament against Yorkshire Terriers and Mersey Marauders, and of course the parade.

Mancunian Matters: The city’s gay football team Village Manchester are putting their best foot forward and backing the national Rainbow Laces campaign, to encourage more people in the game to come out as gay.
