VMFC launches new look
1 March 2006
Village FC give their club logo a 'makeover' to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the club...
by Jason McAuley
As any self respecting gay man knows, you can't beat a fabulous facial to feel refreshed and ready to take on the world, so to mark our 10th year as a football club we have decided to do just that to the VMFC Shield which has been associated with the club since 1996!
Jason McAuley who is responsible for VMFC Communications & PR said "The motivation behind this decision is to give the existing club logo a fresher look, acknowledging how 'proud & passionate' we are about the club's positive development in recent years whilst retaining the identity & reputation that VMFC has throughout the UK and across the gay football world over the past decade".
It was VMFC player, Paul Taylor, who came up with the idea of the Latin translation to proud & passionate Superbio ab Effervesco which now features prominently on the new logo. Jason added "we have used words like proud & passionate on literature before and it encompasses everything VMFC is about - proud of being associated with such a unique organisation and extremely passionate about the game".
Now we all love a bargain, and VMFC are no different, so we've decided on a '2 for the price of 1' and created two versions; the first which features the years 1996-2006 will be used on the club website until the end of 2006 and the second which features the year the club was established will be used on everything else.
