The club would like to announce the completion of negotiations for a 3 year sponsorship deal with one of the world's fastest growing personals sites for gay men recon.com.

The 3-year deal announced by VMFC head of communications Jason McAuley and recon's Managing Director Philip Hamill makes recon the Principle Club Sponsor for the VMFC 1st and 2nd Teams, and will see the clubs 1st Team change their traditional 'home' blue kit in favour of a sexy new red one emblazoned with the recon logo.

Jason McAuley commented "VMFC are delighted at the prospect of working with the recon team over the next 3 years, and exploring the many exciting opportunities both organisations now have to succeed both on and off the pitch" he added, "sponsor support for our club from organisations within Manchester's Village continues to be vital for our development, however in becoming our Principle Sponsor, recon will enable VMFC to support many more gay players and supporters who wish to get involved in the sport we are all passionate about".

Mr Hamill commented "Recon see this partnership as complementary to the growth of our membership as we attract an increasing number of younger gay men to recon, many of whom have a particular interest in football or sports-gear. VMFC have had a great deal of success in local, National and International tournaments, and will be attending the International Gay and Lesbian Football Association (IGLFA) World Cup in Argentina during 2007, we anticipate that this deal will open up some excellent opportunities for us both".

The new VMFC football shirts with recon logo will be available for sale soon via recon's online shop with the proceeds being split between recon and VMFC - watch this space!
