After winning last years GFSN Cup in a dramatic last gasp 3-2 win against Leicester Wildecats, Village FC have been drawn at home in the quarter finals of the GFSN Cup.

We received a bye in the previous round and this tie must be played before 1st February 2009. The date of the fixture will be confirmed as soon as the result of the Stonewall v Newcastle 1st round tie is known on 9th November.

Either way, the tie in Manchester will be unique because both Village and their opponents are 'associate' members of the GFSN and therefore at least one semi final will contain a club from outside of the teams who compete in the GFSN league programme this season.

Other Quarter Final fixtures:

  • Birmingham v London Falcons

  • Bournemouth GFC v Yorkshire

  • Edinburgh Hotscots v London Titans
