Each August bank holiday weekend, the whole of Manchester goes crazy as they city celebrates Pride. It's an important weekend for VMFC, giving us the opportunity to mark equality, and of course market the club to thousands of people in the region. 

 

As ever, on the Thursday evening we took part in Polly's It's a Gay Knockout at New York New York, entering three teams. Having won it for the last three years, one of our teams got to the traditional tug o' war final, only to lose to some serious cheating! Who cares - it's just for fun!

 

Saturday sees the Pride Parade, as dozens of floats and hundreds of participants parade before tens of thousands of spectators. We had a record turnout of kit clad players, supporters and sponsors. 

 

During the weekend we also have a stall at the Pride Expo, giving out information to lots of interested people, both locals and visitors.
